I have used Bunn coffee makers for over 20 years and love the speed and taste, but the warming pad always cooked the coffee too fast. I purchased the Bunn BT10B so I would have fresh, hot coffee all morning. You have to heat the carafe first or the coffee won’t stay hot, but it will keep the coffee warm for about 2 hours. I like not having to worry about turning it off, but pouring the coffee into a thermos will keep it hot longer than using the Bunn carafe. The speed and taste are consistent with Bunn quality. They had a recall awhile back which could be problem if you missed it. The company offered several options and I chose to have them send me the part to complete the repairs myself. Packing the coffee maker up and returning it to them for repair seemed too complicated for what looked like a simple part change, not to mention the time without my coffee maker. I’m not normally mechanically inclined, but the part arrived very fast and the directions were very easy to follow with the pictures included. The lid to the carafe is rubber, rather than the hard plastic most lids are made out of, which makes cleaning a little more difficult. The carafe and lid are dishwasher safe. I like Bunn coffee makers, but next time, will purchase a regular coffee maker and pour the coffee into my own thermos
