Do’s and Don’ts

“Do” read all instructions and information how to use first as this can cause serious burns if information is not read first before operation

Do not immerse cord or machine in water will damage the machine and cause electric shock, personal injury, or could cause a fire.

Do not use outdoors

Do not let the cord hang over the counter because it could cause injury or damage to machine if you become tangle in it and it can fall and injury you or someone around you can get injured.

Do not place near a hot gas burner or electric burner, and never near a hot oven

Most important never unscrew or remove the boiler cap while the machine is in use. A Big safety Tip:

Handling the glass Carafe:

The glass carafe is only to be used with this machine.

Do not use in a microwave to pre-heat coffee

Do not use a cracked carafe or if handle is weak and shakes. Replace if damaged

Do not clean carafe with cleansers or steel wool pads or any other abrasive materials.

I find that just cleaning with Baking Soda is the best and never use dish detergents as soap is hard to get out and can leave a soapy taste as I had used in the past and wondered why I kept cleaning and rinsing out well but still bubbles were there, so using baking soda will clean out the glass carafe well and removes old coffee stains too and the glass will be so clean like new.

Do not use hot water to fill the container. Always use cold water only

Remember the cleaning is easy but always let the machine cool off before you begin to clean for safety and zero risk of burning yourself really bad.

Well I cannot say I have not burned myself a few times. Practice makes perfect.

Krups has a consumer service department and comes with a 1-800-526-5377 24 hours a day and 7 days a week if you have any questions. You cannot go wrong there.

This unit can be bought for under 40 bucks. Shop around and find a good sale and makes a great wedding gift or just a gift for yourself or a family member. Holidays are coming around soon and this is a gift one to have on your buy a gift list.

I do my shopping at the discount outlets where you can buy household appliances and you can get this at outlets near you at a big discount as many of the products are reduce for quick sale. Go online and search for outlets and find one near you. Bargains are just around the corner or a short drive away. Shop online too as bargains are out there too. Caution-Hot: do not touch boiler cap during operation. Before removing boiler cap turn off machine and let cool down for at least 3 or so minutes

update: To search online for outlets near you search for premiumoutlet.com and looking for a area near you and state and there are so many all around . Shop when you travel out of town or on vacation. Its a good thing to do and save money too.

This espresso maker does not make coffee. This machine is different from brewing regular drip coffee. This espresso machine uses steam pressure to force very hot water through the coffee grinds and makes espresso and use steam to froth from using milk to make cappuccino.

Its a espresso machine that you can make espresso, latte, and cappuccino by using Espresso ground coffee or hold Espresso Beans ( having too ground your own) but is better to buy it ground. Espresso only.

Caution is to be used and I cannot express this to anyone who uses a Espresso Machine as it forced hot steam can cause burns.

Now what kind of Espresso is best to use. Starbucks Ground Espresso or any ground Espresso coffee of choice.

Frothing is made by adding water into the boiler by removing the pressure plug and this is getting steam as the espresso is being made and when this is done last step to do is frothing.

Using Non-fat milk in a cup works the best but you can use half and half, 2% milk what ever you like and what will work the best for you and it practice that will make it easy to get use to your machine as I had to do.

Before you use your machine get familiar with all the parts and what they do. You do not add no milk into the machine, only water and espresso goes into filter holder basket.
