We bought our Bunn BT10B Coffee Maker on the advice of my mother and two of her good friends who have Bunn Coffee Makers. The salesperson in the store where we bought it says she has had her Bunn “for years” and says she would “never have another brand”. Although she could have sold us other, more expenseive machines, she chose to praise Bunn.

Our last coffee makers, all made by supposedly well reputed companies had to be replaced after relatively short periods of time. Compared to the Bunn, they were more complicated to use and produced coffee which varied greatly in taste and quality from one pot to the next. This machine fits nicely on the countertop, measuring 14.25″ X 7″ X 13.25″. It comes with a 3-year warranty on the coffee maker, and a 1-year warranty on carafe.

The Bunn is SO easy to use, once the initial “warming up period” is completed. (This warming up period is not complicated, but must be done according to directions). Each pot of coffee is consistent in quality to previous pots, and brewing time is three minutes for each pot. The coffee stays perfectly warm for several hours in the thermal pot, longer than in the previous pots that came with our previous four coffee makers.

We have found only one drawback, which is that coffee grounds will overflow the basket if it is overfilled. Also, although not a major issue, the aroma of the coffee brewing is not strong like it has been with our other machines, just a small disappointment, and perhaps due to the quicker brewing time, or to the design of the thermal pot and lid which seem to be better insulated than most others we’ve had. Certainly, the better quality and flavor of the coffee are there, a trade off I’ll make any day!

Through the years, we have had coffee makers by companies which are thought to be the best of the best, but I know already that the Bunn will be our coffee maker for life. There is NO doubt about it!
