We received this coffee machine free through an online promotion they were running.

Before receiving this we were quite happy with our Black-n-Decker full pot coffee maker. We saw no need to change.

But free is free…so we decided to give the Philips Senseo coffee a try.

Reasons we love it:

1) The water heats very quickly - no more waiting for a whole pot to brew

2) You can make a 4 oz or 8 oz cup - great for those coffee drinkers that really only want a small amount

3) It’s very easy to clean and requires no filters since the coffee comes in pods

4) It’s great if you have one person who drinks decaf and one who drinks regular…as we do in our house. Before we would waste practically entire pots of coffee trying to please both of us. Now we can each have our own thing quickly

5) It also makes tea!

Okay…now the downside…which isn’t much:

1) The coffee pods are a bit pricier than regular ground coffee and you are limited to what coffee/tea selections are prepackaged in pods. I’ve heard of some people who have figured out how to make their own pods but who really has the time for that.

2) Not ideal for serving a large crowd…which is why we kept our other coffee machine
