I bought this coffee maker for about $55 from Walmart. First of all, I was irritated about the fact that it’s called a “thermal” pot & there’s absolutely no insulation at all…it’s just a metal pot, there’s nothing thermal about it.

Anyway, it worked great the first two times I used it, then began evaporating about 50% of the water. I’d add 5 scoops of coffee to make a 10 Cup pot & would end up with coffee twice as strong as I could stomach. Brought it back to Walmart & exchanged it, figuring it was a fluke with just that machine. I was WRONG….same issue with the second one. I have discovered though, if I prop the machine’s lid open about an inch, it will brew ok. How stupid that I should have to do that. Also the coffee hardly stays warm. After adding 1/2 & 1/2, I then have to microwave my coffee because it’s ice cold. I sent Mr. Coffee an email 2 days ago, asking what their resolution would be and lo & behold haven’t yet had an answer. This coffee pot is a huge disappointment and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I’ve never bought a Mr. Coffee product before & highly doubt I ever would again.
