Because this brand has a decent reputation, we thought we would be okay. However, it clogs up ALL the time for both the brewing and for the frothing. It is at the point after about three months of using this machine, that it will not froth at all, and we cannot unblock. Also, there seems to be a blockage for the brewing so sometimes we are lucky to get a single cup out of this machine. My husband is armed with a toothpick every morning when he attempts to make coffee, so he can try to unclog the frothing piece. At this point in time, that no longer works. We are not sure if it is because of hard water, or if there is another issue. He has taken the entire unit apart in an attempt to clean everything out, but even after doing that, it will work great for maybe a day (morning brewing only), and then we are back to the same old aggravation. We have even tried using vinegar to clean out, but NOTHING seems to work well. We had a Krups prior to the Mr. Coffee, and have gone back to that even though it has a broken seal and you have to be careful not to burn yourself. At least we can get a cup of cappuccino in the morning. We know we did not pay a lot for this product, but expected it to last more than three months.
