I purchased this coffee maker yesterday from Target. Because I’m the only coffee drinker in my household, all I wanted was a small, inexpensive pot. It does what it’s supposed to do. It also has a pause and serve feature and a removable filter basket for easy cleaning. However, there are a few things about it that I don’t like.

It looks more like an unsophisticated, cheap plastic toy than a kitchen appliance.

It takes forever just to brew 4 cups of coffee. I haven’t timed it, but it’s much slower than my old Mr Coffee.

There are cup marks on the water reservoir but none on the carafe. So you have to either measure or guess when filling the carafe with water.

The coffee is not even close to drinking temperature when it’s done. You’ll need to let the coffee cool in your cup for a few minutes before drinking because it will be VERY HOT! More of a warning than a con.

All of these are not enough to make me take the maker back, because it does actually make coffee. But I would not suggest paying the retail price of $19.99 for it, even if you do like Hello Kitty. You can get better coffee makers at the same price and there are other Hello Kitty coffee makers out there.
