My husband bought me a Senseo coffee maker and I am addicted to it! I can’t wait to make my flavored coffee in the morning. The Senseo is an attractive looking coffee maker that allows you to quickly and easily make a yummy hot single serve cup of coffee.

The Senseo has a water reservoir in the back with fill lines so you can fill it with just the right amount of water. The top of the maker has a place to put the coffee “pods”. These pods are round packs of coffee. There are two different sized pod containers to make either 1 or 2 cups of coffee at a time. I find that for the 1 cup setting, the machine does not produce enough coffee for me. I prefer to use one coffee pod, but use the 2 cup setting. You simply have to push one button and the water will heat in only about a minute.

The coffee pods can be expensive. They run about $4-5 dollars for around 16-18 pods. The pods come in regular, decaf, hazelnut, vanilla, cappuccino, and the new Barista blends. My favorites are the vanilla and the cappuccino, but the cappuccino is hard to find. You can buy the pods directly from the Senseo website, and you can save money by getting one of their subscription plans. There is another way to save money on the Senseo too — there are now companies that make pod filters so you can make your own rather than using the Senseo pods. I have recently purchased one of these filters but I haven’t tried it yet.

My husband isn’t a fan of flavored coffee and gets his coffee at work. I am a work from home mom, so I need my coffee each morning! Having a single serve coffee maker works well for us.

If you are a coffee lover who doesn’t need to make large pots of coffee, this is a great maker to have. It makes a really good cup of coffee.
