If you are like me you like your coffee fresh and hot, this coffee maker is sure to be a winner on your countertop. We have had ours for 2 years now and I would not think of getting a different brand or type coffee maker.

I had been at a friends house for a party and they had this coffee maker on the counter. I asked what she thought of it and she told me that she felt it was a great coffee maker and never had an ounce of trouble with it and that she had hers for over a year. The following week I happened to be at Walmart and saw this coffee maker for $60.00 at the time. I thought that was relatively expensive for Walmart and passed on purchasing it since ours was still working just fine. A few months later they dropped the price on it and I decided to make the purchase and put it on the shelf at home to wait for the current coffee maker to die, since ours rarely make it a year.

Our coffee maker died an untimely death on Easter Sunday and luckily I had this one all ready to come out of the box and work! There are some things it just pays to plan ahead on and making sure to have coffee first thing in the morning in my house is one of them!

Putting water in the back using the built in take out holding tank is a bit of a chore since it does get a little awkward to handle but if you put the coffee maker next to your sink the pull out water rinser works just fine to fill the back water reservoir. We opted to use a permanent coffee filter that you clean out and replace in the coffee filter portion of the coffee maker.

This coffee maker can be programmed to have your coffee ready for you any time you want it hot and fresh. The holding tank for coffee keeps it nice and hot without worry of having that burnt coffee flavor ever happening. Which is something I like having since it takes me more than a couple of hours to drink a couple of cups of coffee.

There is a safety feature built in that this coffee maker will shut off after 2 hours if you forget to turn it off. This is a nice feature if you are a busy person and happen to go out the door and drive down the road and wonder, did I turn off the coffee maker? You will not have to worry about that since it will make sure to shut itself off.

At the Christmas this year, Walmart, had this coffee maker on sale for $30.00 and right now on the web site it is listed for $35.00.

I rinse the holding tank every day and then do a thorough cleaning of it once a week with one of those eraser pads since the coffee sitting in the holding tank tends to darken the material in there. When the warmer pad on the bottom inside gets dark I use a nylon pot scrapper on it and then the eraser pad to clean it off. Other than cleaning the tank daily and the filter holder there has not been much maintenance to the machine.

When you open the box the company puts a small replacement “O” ring inside should you need it down the road. I still have mine in the cabinet and have not had to replace it just yet.

When I purchased this coffee maker it was a bit expensive but now with the price having come way down this is not a bad investment. If you like your coffee hot and fresh with every cup this is a nice way to insure that. I would never go back to the carafe type coffee maker now that I have had the pleasure of this type.

It can be a bother to have to dispense one cup at a time should you be serving a group of friends after dinner but it will keep any remaining coffee just as fresh as that first cup while you enjoy your company. The trade off is sometimes well worth the bother.

For our family this is the coffee maker of choice. Plus I do not have to worry about breaking another glass coffee carafe and trying to find a replacement for it. Which can sometimes cost more than the original coffee maker itself.
