Yep I sure was dreaming about coffee makers. I had looked at so many online and so many different opinions on them I started dreaming about them.

We replaced our old coffee maker about 6 months ago with one that cost way to much but I really liked the features and how the buttons sat on the Mr. coffee. I liked it fine until it died on us the other day, just would not brew. Made me really mad and of course I could not find the receipt for it..sigh..

So off on a quest to find a new coffee maker and thought it would be so easy, NOT! To many of them out there and they cost to much.

Anyhow, I wont be to long winded here, I hate reading reviews that read like a book.

I decided on this one because #1 of the Kenmore name, I like Kenmore and my large appliances came from Sears and I trust the name, #2. it had the features I wanted, I did NOT want one of those new ones with the dumb water filter in them, and #3. well I was just plain tired of looking.

Anyhow, I really like this machine, the size is perfect and not all bulky like so many others. So it fits nicely on the counter. I used it right away, it was fast and quiet made a nice hot pot of coffee and tasted so good:o)

Two things about this machine though, one is I thought LCD meant the clock would light up, guess I was wrong there. The clock is really hard to see and you have to bend over and look real close to see it. Good thing I already have 3 other clocks in the kitchen, but it does make it a pain when setting it.

The other thing, which is not a big deal, is the carafe can dribble when you pour water into the back. But that is easy to deal with because all you have to do is open the carafe lid a little and it wont do that. Every coffee maker I have ever had did that. But it does not dribble when you pour it into your cup:o)

As for how long this baby will last, I will let you know because I did just get it and we shall see in 6 months to a year.

**UPDATE: Well its been 7 months and this baby is still working like the first day I bought it! It has held up very well and is used every day, sometimes 2x a day;o) The only thing I don’t care for, is still the fact the clock is hard to see (doesn’t light up) and if I don’t get that carafe just right it dribbles down the outside. But as long as I am paying attention and pour it slowly, it doesnt do it. It does NOT dribble at all when pouring a cup of coffee, which is great. Well I am off to grab a cup of coffee, want to join me?**

**Second update** I just thought I would let you all know my coffee maker is still alive and well after 15 months! It is the end of May 2004 and I am still happy with it and it is still working..
