My husband bought this coffee maker at Target, and from day one I hated it. It has a hole in the back of the reservoir so you won’t “over fill”– I have never had a problem doing that so I don’t know why they would put that feature on, because what happens instead is you get water all over your counter.

The carafe drips all over the place when you try to pour– we learned to fill our cups standing over the sink.

The on/off switches are TERRIBLE. They are hard to push and are tiny and stiff. The off switch never would push in on our coffee pot so some days I couldn’t get it to turn off and just had to rely on the timer to shut it off automatically. This morning the “on” switch totally broke, so the coffee pot is a piece of trash now. It is less than two years old and should have lasted longer.

Don’t waste your money on the Mr. Coffee TFX23. For the same price I bought the Black and Decker DCM2700B, that has high end features like on the Krups, has a dripless carafe, and makes a fast hot pot of coffee.
