Awesome DeLonghi EAM3200 Espresso Machine I've had my EAM3200 for almost two years and it has worked wonderfully. Some seals seem to have become a little l...

Let me start off by explaining that I just love coffee and with that said I absolutely love good espresso. Now good espresso does not come from a regular coffee shop or a bookstore. Oh, no one must climb many a mountains to find real, I mean real good espresso.

Well I was getting kind of sore buying cups of espresso for $3.50+ per shot. So I decided to look for a good espresso machine. My Old Italian model died, it was very old (40+ years) I am not that old but it was. So my old machine was gone and the one I got as a gift last year had lets just say it is OK if you like brown colored water.

I decided to look at what the Market had to offer. Now let me enter a caveat here there are some people who scoff at the “Fully Automatic” anything. Now start with espresso and some people will think you are joking. A good cup of espresso takes time and a press and blah blah blah. Hey I used to be one of those people.

So I get this coupon (It’s a piece of paper which gives you money off) for Bed Bath and Beyond (Can I mention their name?) for 20% off. WOW I think. So I go shopping, actually I go looking first. Now here I see this box which claims to be a fully . Now we are not taking a POD machine. So I search the internet (it is this group of computer sharing a network…well you should know what it is). I read, read and read some more (hey I like to read OK!)

The reviews are all glowing. I will spare you the details. So I figure what the heck lets just spend ($560 after discount) Yeh it is a whole boat load of money, but I figured it saves me green as long as I use it for 2+ months.

So let me now fast forward to the installation. Did I say installation I meant to say putting on counter, there is zero assembly required. It literally works instantly. OK so you need to add this thing called water (H2O), you may have heard of it. And it even comes with a can of vacuum sealed espresso beans (so cute).

Well first off you fill water in the tank then turn it on. It will make some fairly strange sounds. OH OH a flashing light! What to do run? Hide? Or throw the machine out the window. Or you can read the instructions and see that you need to open the steam valve to vent the air for the first time. So READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.

Now I place my espresso cup under the nozzles and push the one cup button. Now here is the cool part I do not even change the factory settings for strength etc. Now some other reviewers out there say the grinder is loud. Um, it is grinding beans, what do you expect. That is up there with saying a lawn mower is loud. Now the grinder IS NOT loud, just for the record. My coffee makers grinder is louder then this thing.

The key here is how the espresso tastes. And to this I say PERFECT. Yes not just OK or good but it is literally perfect. I have had espresso all over the world and this machine makes espresso like a 5 star hotel over seas. I mean you have the froth (a must) and then there is the taste which is like pure gold going down.

And here is the really cool part it cleans itself, yep you can make another cup of espresso in a whole 2 seconds. I mean you can down the first cup and have another one waiting for you. Please do not down this espresso it is designed to be enjoyed.

Seriously you will need to open it up and occasionally rise off the removable components. This process will take you a whole 2 minutes. No joke the machine is designed so well that you remove the drip pan, coffee ground basket and the cool middle thing which I does the magic and rinse. NOW PLEASE READ! From what I understand you should NOT USE SOAP on the center magic portion the one with the two red buttons. Just rinse it off with water.

The instructions will tell you everything. Yes, you may have to read them more then once and there is even a CD-ROM to watch. So in conclusion this machine is not cheap. But it is so worth every penny. I personally think of it as the Toyota Camry of espresso machines. It is not a $4,000 top of the line machine, it is also not a $50 starter unit what it is; is turn it on and push one button machine. It is perfect I literally would not change one thing. I would recommend to you to check out the reviews on line and check out amazon which has a great write up on it.
