Having owned just about every coffeemaker on the market, I’d have to say that this product comes closest to meeting all my expectations. It has all the bells and whistles that make it appropriate for any use, including programming cycle, a 4 cup cycle, clean cycle, water filter that doesn’t break your piggy bank on replacements, an adjustable plate heater, and automatic shutdown after a few hours. I have the black model, not the stainless, and it’s easy to keep clean on the outside. I grind my own beans and mix flavored and non-flavored coffee grinds 50/50 to reduce the amount of flavoring in the finished coffee. The first cups of coffee are exceptionally good tasting. I find the coffee still good tasting at the end of the two hour on-cycle, but of course not quite as tasty as the freshly brewed. I’ve never experienced an acidic tasting coffee with this product, as I have using the same coffee blend with other coffee makers. I have recommended this coffeemaker to friends and they all agree with me about its capabilities. The clean cycle on this product is extremely thorough, turning the heat element on an off several times to ensure a good soak in fresh cleaning solution. I have owned mine for two years now and it works and looks as good as the day I bought it. I use it every day.
