I’ve enjoyed my B&D coffee maker for I can’t remember how long. I could set it the night before, confident it was set right with the bright red LED display. It would keep my coffee warm all day long if I wanted, as I could always turn the heating element back on for its normal 2 hour run time. I’d even use the heater to re-warm those half pots I’d not finished one day.

This new unit is terrible! No heater in the base, so the coffee quickly becomes cold and cannot be reheated. The carafe dribble out coffee so slow you will wonder if it was ever tested. The carafe lid takes some skill and concentration to screw on.

Finally… when you remove the carafe it has the nasty habit of pulling the grind holder out with it. Then the holder will flip over the carafe and upside down to your counter.

Dumps grinds on counter; Carafe slow pours out coffee; No heating element for keeping coffee warm; Clock near impossible to read.

DO NOT BUY THIS COFFEE MAKER. I have a $10 unit cheap cheap no timer unit I far prefer as it doesn’t have any of the faults of the more expensive unit.

I’ve ripped this one out and will give it away. I’m getting a standard one unit B&D (or whoever) designs a usable under counter unit.
