I just bought my second one of this coffee maker and I suppose that could be a good thing or a bad thing. The reason I bought a second was it because my first one broke. The good thing is that I liked the first one enough to look past the fact that one broke and invest in another.

I love that this can make a large cup of coffee (14 ozs to be exact) because I like to carry a large travel mug to work everyday. There are also the options to make a 7 oz, 9 oz or a creamy beverage. Creamy make a 7 oz cup, but somehow adds a little froth to the drink. I don’t use it often.

This coffee maker takes pods which can be bought at many stores now a days. They are small packets of coffee that make a single serving of coffee without the mess of grinds or filters. My favorite part of this coffee maker is that I can use ANY pod on the market. I can buy any brand of coffee pod so I am usually able to save a little money by purchasing what is on sale. I also love that you can buy the “creamy” drinks for this machine. The cappuccinos and lattes come out tasting just like from a real coffee shop. I have also seen tea and hot chocolate pods on the market which would be able to be used with this machine, but I personally haven’t tried them yet.

When I purchased the machine it was ready to use (no figuring out how to put it together). The instructions recommend you run plain water through the machine a few times before making a cup of coffee. To use the machine you simply push a button to lift the lid, insert a coffee pod (or two if you like stronger coffee) and close the top. There are three inserts that come with the machine in which you place you pods into. The inserts sit inside the machine and are very easy to change. One holds one pod, the second holds two pods so you can make a stronger cup of coffee, and the third hold the specialty pods to make cappuccinos, lattes and hot cocoa. After placing your pod into the machine, you just push a button to select the size drink you want. It brews in less than a minute, makes no mess and is fairly quiet.

My negatives on this machine are that it is a little hard to use with travel cups. A tall travel mug will fit under the spout, but if you want a full cup of coffee, you end up spilling getting the cup out from under the deep spout. This creates a small mess. I started making two 7 oz cups in a regular coffee mug and then pouring them into my travel mug.

When my first one broke it was the actual pod holder, which seems a little less sturdy than the machine itself. It would be nice if you could buy replacement pod holders in the store for not only the possibility of them breaking, but also for cleaning purposes.

Overall, a great cup of coffee and I recommend it to everyone.
